Grana Padano, a specific Italian cheese has been shown to be able to lower blood pressure in patients with hypertension. It was only shown to have this effect however when the individual was not already taking ACE inhibitors or ARB's. Dr. Giuseppe Crippa noted that patients could simply substitute this cheese in their diet they would see results for an antihypertensive effect.
