First Drug that prevents HIV

The drug Truvada has been approved by the FDA as a successful drug that prevents a person from contracting HIV. This is the first drug of its kind that can prevent HIV which overtime leads to AIDS. Even though there is no cure for HIV the drug Truvada has been shown to prevent HIV from occuring. Even though Truvada has so far been able to successfully prevent HIV, patients should not participate in risky behaviors. The article stresses that this pill should not be used as the only preventative measure and condoms are still one of the best ways to prevent HIV passing from person to person.
