Fossil Biology- New Human Genome

In Southern Siberia, a small fragment of a human finger bone was found in a cave.  The DNA sequence showed that this human came from a previously unknown group of humans that are now called Denisovians, after the cave the bone was found in, Denisova Cave. Denisovians were similar to the Neanderthals. This is a big discovery for researchers in the evolution field.
