Imported Foods Are Also Bring Foodbourne Diseases With Them


Foodbourne diseases from imported foods is on the rise. Many of the outbreaks of disease are commonly caused by peppers, fish, and spices. From 2005-2010 imported foods caused 39 outbreaks and 2,348 reported illnesses. 45% of the foods causing these outbreaks were from Asia.The food itself is not any less safe, but the rise in the outbreaks may just be due to the fact that they are importing more foods.
