When people hear about children being vegetarians it is frowned upon, but undoubtedly it is completely safe. The CDC estimates 1/200 kids are vegetarians, all of the veggie options directed towards children are making it way easier. If vitamins and nutrients are the issue, protein, iron, vitamins b12 and d and calcium are all found in sources other than meat. If there is still a concern, there are always multi vitamins.
