Marine Biology- Shark Attack preserved in Fossils

We have little evidence of the interactions between animals from some three to four million years ago. But a recent fossil shows some of the tension there must have been between ancient whales and sharks. Three shark tooth marks on a rib bone of an ancient whale were found, and judging by the size and space between marks, scientists believe it was a HUGE shark. It was a treat to find evidence of animal behavior forever preserved in bone.
