Steroid detected in Pig Breeding in Northern Vietnam

After finding samples of animal feed and pork contaminated with growth promoting agents, there has been prevalent hue and calls for immediate boycott of the consumption of pork owing to the rampant use of steroids in the livestock breeding industry. Police had found traces of certain banned substances (ractopamine and salbutamol) in animal feeds by a major pork supplier to Ho Chi Minh City (Capital of Vietnam). This confirmation came out merely a month after certain explicit images allegedly showed livestock farmers inserting steroids containing beta-agonist growth promoting agent in their pigs.
