General Biology- Stem cells Repairing Corneas

For the first time, scientists have successfully cultivated stem cells on human corneas. Because a new cornea might be the only way to prevent blindness, this is a huge breakthrough. The procedure does, however, require a donated cornea, and there is a severe shortage of that. Similar experiments have worked on animals but this is the first time we have successfully done it with humans. After more research, this procedure may be able to help many people keep their eyesight.
