A 2006 study suggests that women who smoke, yet
engross in very arduous and vigorous physical activity at least three times a
week are almost 30 per cent less likely to acquire lung cancer as opposed to
women who engage in the exceedingly deleterious act of smoking AND remain
physically dormant and inactive. Women who partook in moderate physical
exercise (at least twice a week) were 23 per cent likely to develop lung
cancer. In essence among smokers, those with the highest exercising capacity
had significantly lower risks in dire comparison to their to their
low-exercising capacity counterparts. NEVERTHELESS, exercising smokers still
have a greater propensity to acquire cardiac health risks when compared to
non-smokers!
