Spicy Food May Boost Metabolism


As the semester draws to a conclusion and we all head towards our respective homes for three months of festivities and consumption of home-cooked food, studies indicate that spicy food augments one’s metabolism rates, particularly when it comes to insulin and triglyceride levels. It was conferred that a minute addition of a combination of a myriad of spices such as turmeric, cinnamon and paprika could be imperative in reducing oxidative stress and thus reducing the risk of chronic disease. Suddenly Indian food doesn’t seem that spicy now, does it? ;)
