This
particular article contends that upon the excessive consumption of fruits and
vegetables, an individual may appear more aesthetically appealing and pleasing!
Researchers from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland monitored the fruit
and vegetable intake of 35 individuals and investigated how attractive other
individuals found based on the skin color changes associated with the intake of
fruits and vegetables. Increasing consumption of carotenoids, yellow-red
pigments found in fruits and vegetables triggered the change of skin pigments
that correlated with skin that appeared to be rendered as healthy and more
attractive. Perhaps a new incentive to make your kids eat their fruits and
vegetables!
