Eating Slowly and Chewing More are Linked to Better Health

Recent research has edified that taking fewer bites and chewing their food in a proper and effective manner ensures better vigor and well-being for individuals. The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition deliberates and avows that leaner individuals averaged 4 bites per minute and chewed each bite an average of 21 times as opposed to their obese counterparts who averaged 5 bites per minute and chewed an average of 17 times. This was patently concomitant with studies establishing that upon consumption of the same 670-calorie meal, chewing each bite 40 times resulted in consuming 12% less calories at variance if chewed more than 40 times. It also illuminated and imparted information of great magnitude where chewing 40 times per bite developed lower levels of appetite stimulating hormones, thus curbing and reducing compulsive hunger levels.
