Behavioral therapy may be just what can help reduce child obesity. This type
of therapy helps people change their behavior seems to benefit those children
who are obese, not necessarily targeting teens though. The investigators use a
scoring method for assessing weight data that took into account the age and
gender of each study participant and analyzes differences over time.
"Behavioral treatment is successful when initiated early in life both for
moderately and severely obese children", says Swedish researcher Pernilla
Danielsson of the Institute in Stockholm.
