Marine Biology- Seal Parenting

A recent study found that mothering gray seals are not all the same, and many use different parenting skills and some not at all. Different personalities affect the extent to which they protect and care for their young.  While observing seal mothers reactions to external stimuli, like fake wolf calls, some mothers showed disinterest while some were aggressive. Some watched their young closely, while some let their young wander off on their own.
