Largest Known Crocodile Could Swallow a Human

A 27-foot crocodile is recently believed to have existed in Kenya in East Africa. It's is a new species that is believed to have lived about 2-4 million years ago. The fossilized head took 4 men to lift. “'It lived alongside our ancestors, and it probably ate them,' Brochu says." Brochu, the scientist who made the discovery, decided to name the species Crocodylus thorbjarnarsoni, after John Thorbjarnarson who died of malaria while researching in the field. Brochu's discovery was just published in the May 3 issue of the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology.
