Losing Weight Reduces Risk of Cancer

When you lose weight, you also shed potentially inflammatory proteins. There is a link between certain proteins and cancer risk, and losing weight can reduce the amount of these proteins stored in your body. An interesting side note is the risk level only goes down with weight loss if the weight loss is dietary. People who lost weight during the study using only exercise did not reduce the amount of the cancer linked proteins.
