Sleepy Briains Think More Freely

Mareike Wieth is an assistant professor of psychological science at Albion College and her and her colleagues did a study on different types of people-morning types and evening types. The participants solve different types of problems and they found that people are more on their nonoptimal times of the day. Wieth states that the reduction in inhibitory attention control could be the reason why this is. This less focused cognitive state makes people more susceptible to think about other things they experienced earlier or to-do list.
