Fertility Rates among Educated Women on the Rise
A study found that women who are educated have higher rates of fertility than women without an formal education. There has been a trend happening for the past 20 years that women with college degrees are less likely to be childless. This has broken the idea that women are more likely to focus on their careers and not have a family. Researchers believe that medical improvements and the economy are likely factors that play into this change over the past few years. At the same time, marriage rates are still low. Overall, it seems that women with college degrees are opting for families, while still continuing their careers.
