The research shows that there is a connection between ecstasy, speed, and depression, but the evidence is not clear yet. There could be other factors like history of depression and anxiety, problems at home, and smoking and alcohol use. The only way to find out the real cause and effect of teenagers using these drugs and having depression later on in life is if researchers did a controlled trial.
