U.S. Approves Genetically Modified Alfalfa

United States approved the Genetically Modified Alfalfa in 2011.  The Agriculture Secretary said the department wants to provide farmers different choices for growing Alfalfa. However, organic farmers does not like the government's decision because they can lose sales if genetic engineering in their crops and this can easily occurs through cross-pollination from a nearby field.
