Hungary to Punish Diabetics if They Don't Stick to Diet
Hungary is now implementing denial of modern treatments(specifically analog insulin treatment) for diabetics who do not cooperate with their doctors' recommended diets. Currently, diabetic treatments are subsided by the government, and they want to make sure taxpayers' money is spent on patients who cooperate with their doctors'. It was stated that "only 30 percent of patients are able to control their diet," and hopefully this new rule will give them more of an incentive to live a healthy lifestyle.
