Should We Be Afraid Of Meat Glue?

Chefs and butchers have learned a new and dangerous way to make more money out of left over scraps of meet-gluing them together and selling them as prime steak. The meat glue contains an enzyme called transglutaminase which binds protein together. Some people argue that meat glue is highly dangerous for your health but others such as Curtis Allen, an FDA spokesman says the bonding agent transglutaminase is generally recognized as safe. Meat glue could be just as bad as preparing meat improperly such as letting bacteria get inside the meat and such.
