Just a Few Cells Can Make a Heart



Researchers at Duke University studied zebrafish embryos and found that only 8 cells were needed to form the major type of heart muscle in the fish. They suspect that other organs are  formed this way as well. This discovery could help researchers make new heart muscle tissue for damaged hearts.
