Childhood Violence May Accelerate The Aging Process



This article talks about the effects that extreme stress, such as childhood violence, can have on the aging process. This article talks about telomeres. Telomeres control how often a cell can divide. Stress can make the rate of telomere loss increase. This rate can increase based on other factors including psychological disorders, obesity, and smoking as well.
