Two Chances to Mate

There are many new things that are being discovered about the orb-web spiders. There mating habits were thought to be solved and completely known, but new information about the male orb-web spiders has come forward. Usually their mate will consume them immediately after mating, but now it has been found that some males have patterns of monogamy. If the female spider is virginal or at least a heavy female, the male orb-web spider will mate with it again. Having many eggs is very important for the male spiders, so he will have no problem getting with the same female more than once or twice. This monogamy is also more likely to happen early in the day.
