Robot Reveals the Inner Working of Brain Cells
Research group at MIT and Georgia Institute of Technology has developed a technique called whole cell patch clamping, allowing visualization of the inner workings of neuron in the living brains. The technology is crucial to gather critical information of the brains: its electrical activity, its shape, what genes are turned on, etc.
