Estrogen Protecting the Brain after Trauma

An experiment on mice showed that an injection of estrogen into rats soon after a traumatic brain injury reduced inflammation and swelling in the skull, reducing the impact of such injuries. This may have serious implications for the treatment of brain trauma.
