Blond Hair in Solomon Islands and Europe Evolved Separately





Researchers at Stanford University have found that the genotype for blond hair occurring in northern Europeans and in the indigenous people of the Solomon Islands are from different sources. It was previously believed that blond hair was introduced to the Solomon Islands by European traders and explorers, but the two are now believed to be entirely different strains of the same phenotype.
