Gene mapping may not be crystal ball for health


In this article, they talk about how the pros and cons of gene mapping or looking at parent's genes and figuring out if their children will be diagnosed with certain diseases.  Diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and Alzheimers are some of the diseases they have been studying.  This technology is showing very promising signs for the future.  However, scientists involved with gene mapping do not have all the answers.  Also, just because scientists can figure out what is wrong with someone doesn't mean they will be able to cure it.
