Tests showed that in the final stages of chick development, the baby chickens could be forced into a state of "awakedness" even before hatching. This was done by exposing the eggs to meaningful sounds. Later, developments into states of dreaming and consciousness arose. This may have many implications, such as the effectiveness of playing music to babies while still in a mother's womb.
