Understanding of Alzheimer's Trigger Deepened



Researchers have found that a specific, highly toxic beta-amyloid protein is responsible for triggering other beta-amyloids in the brain, which serve as a main trigger for Alzheimer's disease. This toxic protein is believed to infect other healthy proteins in the brain and affected proteins are ultimately destroyed.
