Some people think that hookups or one-night stands aren't much else than a one-time thing. But usually there's a reason why they happen: both ends feel a mental or physical connection, sometimes both. This study takes these instances to a further level, finding out that these type of relationships can't actually turn into meaningful ones. There isn't much evidence that relationships will be lower quality because they started off as hookups.
