Scientists discover enzyme that could slow part of the aging process in astronauts -- and the elderly

A recent publication in the FASEB Journal reveals that a specific enzyme, called 5-lipoxygenase, is plays a significant role in cell death. The discovery, as a result, allows more understanding of the aging process. The researchers suggest that inhibition to this enzyme can prevent or slow down the aging process. This is a good news for elderly and astronauts.
