New Clues to Cancer Development

Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body. Glioblastoma is the most common type of brain cancer and it's nearly always fatal because, partly because the migration of brain cancer cells is uncontrollable. But researchers at Johns Hopkins University found in their study of glioblastoma that a protein called NKCC1 contributes to increases in cancer cell migrations and invasions.
