Researchers at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute have found that cardiac stem cells can be used to regenerate heart muscle in past sufferers of heart attacks. The amount of scar tissue decreased drastically in these patients and their hearts were even able to regrow new tissue, which was previously thought to be impossible.
