Recently in the United States, autism rates have become more prevalent than ever before. By accessing health records or educational records, the CDC identified more than 38,000 children with autism related disorders. While the causes of this increase remain unclear, some factors include misdiagnoses of children who have learning disabilities or increase of diagnosis for black and Hispanics to counter the under diagnosis in minority populations. Further studies are needed to test the method of testing for a person with autism disorders.
