Stem Cells Discovered in Ovaries


Stem cells have be found to be present in the ovaries of women shows that perhaps a women is not born with all the eggs she will ever need and that the ovaries may be able to replenish the supply of eggs. This breakthrough could mean many big changes in fertility treatments for women. The study convincingly demonstrates that stem cells in human ovaries can make egg cell precursors, but it remains to be seen if the cells can make mature gametes
