Association Between Moderate Alcohol Consumption Before And After Heart Attack And Lower Mortality

This article talks about testing done on men after they had a heart attack. Some of the men were considered non-drinkers, some moderate, and some heavy drinkers.  When studying these men, it was found that those who were moderate drinkers (no more than 3 drinks a day) had lower risk for all-mortality risks and cardiovascular deaths. This study helps to show that consistent and moderate consumption of alcohol may actually be beneficial.
