World's First Artificial human Liver Grown In Lab

Back on October 31, 2006 the world's first artificial liver was grown in lab.  The liver was grown from stem cells by British scientists.  The liver was considered to be a "mini-liver," because it was as small as a coin.  This same technique was going to be used in the future to develop full sized livers.  The artificial livers will be also used to test new drugs.
