FDA Calls on Tobacco Companies to List Harmful Ingredients
The FDA has passed legislation requiring the tobacco industry to print consumer-friendly packaging warning users of how many dangerous and toxic chemicals are used in their products by April 2013. This will hopefully warn users of how dangerous the products are and create a larger awareness of using tobacco. Tobacco companies will also have to back up with scientific research, any claims that their products are "less-risky" to health. This will help to reduce any false claims and misleading consumers into using tobacco products they believe will not affect their health as adversely.
