Texas approved that doctors can continue with experimental stem cell therapy. The doctor in the picture above treated Governor Rick Perry. The continuation of these practices could lead to doctors exploiting expensive and not 100% proven therapies. In order for a patient to receive this therapy, they have to give consent and the review board has to approve of it. This may open the door to many medical advances in Texas but at the same time doctors may have already been doing these procedures.
