Benefits of Fish Oil is Questioned

A study shows that the suggested cardiovascular benefits that fish oil pills containing omega-3 brings may not be true for people who already suffered a heart attack and/or stroke. In the past omega-3, a fish fatty acid, has some properties of preventing narrow arteries and blood clotting but it has produced mixed results for heart patients. This study may prove why it has only produced mixed results. However, researches say that omega-3 does not increase the chances of someone getting a cardiovascular disease. Scientists suggests an alternative to get omega-3 for heart patients is to eat tuna or salmon and get two servings of either one per week.
