FDA Tightens Rules on use of Antibiotics on Livestock

After 35 years of trying to stop the use of antibiotics on livestock, the FDA recently announced it is banning the use of antibiotics. Using antibiotics over a long period of time leads to resistance to drugs and it is unknown how many are sickened every year because of these strains. There are mixed responses to the new changes, and the FDA didn't give up easily in their efforts to stop the excessive use of antibiotics.
